Mission

Matthew 28:18-20 says, 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Growing up I thought that meant we all are supposed to go overseas to evangelize.  While that is true for lots of believers, it’s not the case for all.  Where you are now is a mission field.  It can be in your home, at your job, in the line at Kroger, or even a Bed, Bath, & Beyond parking lot.  Believe me, God will use you anywhere.

What does that mean for this site?  It means the goal is to love others well.  It’s hard some days but it’s what we are called to do.  Forgiving is hard, but it’s a choice.  Taking joy in the midst of hard circumstance is painful and seemingly impossible, but it’s a choice.  Loving when you’ve been hurt is a challenge, but it’s a choice.  My prayer is that you see Jesus here and are reminded that He loves you.  God has a plan for you, yes you.  It won’t look like what you envisioned but walking in obedience is a breathtaking opportunity to glorify our Creator and to be filled with joy unexplainable.
